| Gomez Helps Rhinos Run Win Streak to 4 | The Rubber City Rhinos beat the Seattle Sasquatch, 6-3, at The Rubber Grounds. The Rhinos got a fine performance from designated hitter Tony Gomez, who captured player of the game honors. He went 3-4 with 3 singles and a walk. He drove in 5 runs. Rudy Cortez notched his 14th save in 17 chances. The winning streak has now reached 4 games for the Rhinos.
Gomez had a game-changing single in the bottom of the sixth. On a 1-2 slider from Chad Flam, he banged a 2-run single to left-center, giving the Rhinos a 5-3 lead. It was the 34th hit of the year for Gomez.
"It was a solid team effort," said Gomez after the game.
