Multi-HR Game for Stieb Jr. in 11-5 Win

Benefiting from an exceptional performance from Dave Stieb Jr., the Grand Island Islanders defeated the San Marin Mustangs, 11-5. Stieb Jr. belted 2 home runs, while adding 8 RBI and scoring twice for the Islanders. The winning streak has now reached 6 games for the Islanders.

When the Islanders needed a boost, it was the light-hitting Stieb Jr. who delivered. Facing San Marin pitcher Bill Harmeson the bottom of the eighth with the bases loaded, Stieb Jr. hit his 19th home run of the year. It made the score 11-5.

"I'm just looking for a good pitch that I can hit well," said Stieb Jr.. "And not try to do too much."
