| Victory Over Titans Takes Kearny High to 34-22 | The first-place Kearny High Cardinals welcomed Carl Albert to Loggers Ballpark.
The Kearny High Cardinals defeated the Carl Albert Titans, 12-3. Earning player of the game honors was third baseman Bryan Carbone, who was 3-5 with a home run and 2 singles, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once. Hisatomo Asano was the winning pitcher. Over 8.2 innings, he allowed 3 runs on 5 hits, with 6 walks and 7 strikeouts.
Early in the game, catcher John Malinowski had a 2-run single for Kearny High. It was his 49th hit of the season and put the Cardinals on top, 2-0.
"We'll grab a cold one tonight and go after another win tomorrow," Carbone said.
