| Black Knights Clip Islanders in Tight Contest | The Brooklyn Black Knights scored a 4-3 win versus the Hawaii Islanders at Blue Ivy Stadium. Brooklyn pitcher Edgar Alvarez nabbed top player honors in the tight contest. Ji-hwan Yea notched his 18th save in 20 chances. The Islanders, now 33-50, have lost 4 straight.
The Black Knights got a big at-bat from catcher Neal Thacker. For the game, Thacker was 1 for 3 with a walk. In the bottom of the eighth, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a run-scoring single. His 49th hit of the season gave Brooklyn a 4-3 lead.
