Multi-HR Day for Scott as Rockhounds Overpower Mustangs, 7-5

Bob Scott was instrumental in his team's 7-5 triumph over the Mile High Mustangs. The designated hitter was 2 for 3 with 2 home runs and a walk. He drove in 5 runs and scored twice for the Midland Rockhounds. Amirtharaj Nagaraja converted his 8th save in 9 tries. The 4th-place Rockhounds now have a win-loss record of 41-43.

Scott contributed a big hit, a grand slam home run, for Midland in the bottom of the fourth. With his team trailing 4-3, Scott took a curveball from Scott Ray and stroked the home run to left-center. His 14th home run of the season allowed the Rockhounds to leap in front, 7-4.

"I'm just looking for a good pitch that I can hit well," said Scott. "And not try to do too much."
