| Mustangs Win at Norwich, 10-7 | With second baseman Josh Veney leading the charge, the San Marin Mustangs defeated the Norwich Navigators, 10-7, at Chickenhawks Stadium. Veney went 2-5 with a home run, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 3. San Marin reliever Taylor Langton picked up the win, upping his record to 2-0. Steve Brinkley took the loss. Chris Oakes was credited with the save for San Marin, his 1st of the season.
Wally Joyner Jr. hit a run-scoring triple off Steve Brinkley in the top of the fifth, which put the Mustangs in front, 4-3. In addition to the triple, Joyner Jr. had 2 singles and 1 walk, while going 3 for 5.
"You know, at the end of the day, it's about who scores the most runs," said San Marin manager Marcus Piscitelli.
With the win, San Marin goes to 29-23, while the Navigators fall to 23-29.
