| Mustangs Turn Back Jefferson, 7-5 | Getting a good performance from catcher Josh Veney, the San Marin Mustangs defeated the Jefferson Indians, 7-5. Veney went 4-4 with 4 singles. He drove in 2 runs and scored once for the Mustangs. Will Majerus picked up the win, improving his season record to 2-4. He struck out 5 in 5 innings. The Mustangs bumped their record to 27-22 with this latest triumph.
The Mustangs got a big at-bat from left fielder Andy Mason. For the game, Mason went 1 for 4 with a home run, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. In the bottom of the fifth, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a 3-run home run. His 9th home run of the season gave San Marin a 6-4 lead.
