| Late Rally by Panthers Secures Win | A nice crowd turned out to see the Pitman High Panthers and Riverside Poly clash at Apollos Ballpark.
Pitman High Panthers starter Tim LaRock was in fine form against the Riverside Poly at Apollos Ballpark, leading his team to a 8-4 win. LaRock picked up the win for Pitman High, going 8 innings. He gave up 4 runs on 6 hits. He now sports a record of 4-3.
Had Kyle Nations not delivered a key base hit in the top of the eighth, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and the bases loaded, Nations hit a grand slam. That made the score 8-4, in favor of the Panthers.
"Tim's tempo and rhythm were good," said Panthers manager Juan Lopez. "He was the key to us winning."
The Panthers go to 18-31, putting them 5th in the Hank Aaron League Bob Gibson Division.
