| Golden Bears Score Late to Upend Patriots, 4-3 | George Washington got a terrific performance from pitcher Curt Gray, but it wasn't enough to beat the Billings West Golden Bears. Billings West won the Osprey Ballpark contest, 4-3. Gray was the player of the game despite being on the losing side. He threw 6 innings of 5-hit ball. Dan Bowlan picked up the win with 7.2 innings of work. He allowed 3 earned runs on 7 hits, while walking 4 and striking out 7. On the season, he is now 4-2. Billings West is now riding a 4-game win streak.
Ken May found himself in a pressure situation in the top of the eighth. Facing George Washington hurler Justin Pardue, the 15-year-old right fielder reached on an error by the 3B, driving in 1 run. His 27th RBI of the season put the Golden Bears on top, 4-3.
