The Blazers grabbed a win, 2-0, at Field de Los Layendas, overcoming a fine effort from Cabo San Lucas pitcher Ryan Goldberg. Goldberg went 9 innings and allowed 2 earned runs. Joey Steamer, credited with the win, is now 6-9. He allowed no runs on 5 hits in 6.2 innings. Shichiro Iba got the save, his 7th in 8 chances.

Eugene Axe, who is a three-time All-Star, aided the Bloomington cause with a run-scoring single in the top of the seventh. For the game, the catcher was 1-3.

"We'll grab a cold one tonight and go after another win tomorrow," Axe said.

The Blazers bumped their record to 42-41 with this latest triumph.
