| Lions Win Thriller, 4-3 | The Lerna Lions picked up a win at Ballpark of Ecatepec HS, knocking off the Kearny High Cardinals, 4-3. Starting pitcher Je-won Lim, who captured player of the game honors, was a big reason why. The Lions bumped their record to 23-23 with this latest triumph.
Justin Miller was the walk-off hero for Lerna. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Lions catcher hit a dramatic solo home run to send the teams home.
"We'll put this win in our pocket and go after the next one," said Miller.
