| Lions Come Back Late to Clip Mustangs | Lerna beat San Marin at Ballpark of Ecatepec HS, eking out a 6-5 win. The win was due in large part to first baseman Alfredo Zapata, who earned player of the game honors. Alan Kruger got credit for the win, improving to 1-1. He allowed no runs on no hits in 1 innings. Lerna now sits in third place in the Pete Rose League Alex Rodriguez Division at 22-23.
Justin Deisher was the walk-off hero for Lerna. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Lions left fielder hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.
"We'll relax tonight and enjoy this win," said Deisher.
