Wednesday, October 11th, 2034
He may have less experience than most of his ROOKIE LEAGUE peers, but that didn't slow Art Barker down at all in 2034.

At the age of 21, the Wichita right fielder has been named the winner of the Cecil Fielder League Most Valuable Player Award.

He had a .355 batting average and a .399 on-base percentage this year. In 68 games he piled up 98 hits, 13 doubles, 2 triples, 28 home runs, 82 RBIs and 56 runs scored.

"I'm blown away by the season I was able to put together," he said. "I'm looking forward to trying to do it all again next year."

Eric Donohue of the Wichita Storm finished second in voting, while Mike Henry of the Normal Nutcrackers finished third.
