Normal Nutcrackers Win Top Spot in Cecil Fielder League Fred McGriff Division Wednesday, September 6th, 2034 The Normal Nutcrackers are trying to accomplish something that's never been done before - hosting a Winter League Championship parade in the city of Normal. They've taken the first big step, winning the Cecil Fielder League Fred McGriff Division title. "We want to win a championship, that's our ultimate goal and something our franchise deserves," said shortstop Mike Henry. "Our coaches, GM and ownership have been behind us, it's time to make that effort pay off." The club's record sits at 44-21 and it is the 1st time they've won the division title. Team manager Richard Lawson said it will be the "accomplishment of a lifetime" if he can lead the team to a championship. "It's what we've been working towards for so long," he said. |
