Cardinals Killick to Miss Year
Friday, August 18th, 2034
The doctors have spoken and Dermot Killick of the Montreal Cardinals didn't like what he heard. The 22-year-old reliever is almost certainly gone for the rest of the year and depending on his progress could miss some of next season as well. Killick sustained his season-ending injury during the Sedona Sabercats game yesterday at Denis Coderre Stadium. He had to leave the game because he hurt himself while throwing a pitch. Today the Montreal medical staff reported Killick had a torn rotator cuff and would be absent from the lineup for at least 4-5 months.
In no relief appearances this season, Killick has no saves. He has 3 wins and 1 loss, 5.27 ERA and 56 strikeouts in 56.1 innings.
