Cardinals Javier Navia Down and Out for Year Sunday, July 16th, 2034 The doctors have spoken and Javier Navia of the Montreal Cardinals didn't like what he heard. The 22-year-old starting pitcher is almost certainly gone for the rest of the year and depending on his progress could miss some of next season as well. Navia sustained his season-ending injury during the Wichita Storm game yesterday at Denis Coderre Stadium. He had to leave the game because he hurt himself while throwing a pitch. Today the Montreal medical staff reported Navia had a torn labrum and would be absent from the lineup for at least 4 months. |
