Kings Rodas Out Rest Of Season
Friday, March 18th, 2033
The doctors have spoken and Sergio Rodas of the Lumber Kings didn't like what he heard. The 17-year-old starting pitcher is almost certainly gone for the rest of the year and depending on his progress could miss some of next season as well. Rodas sustained his season-ending injury during the Sedona Sabercats game yesterday at The Lair at Sabercat Field. He had to leave the game because he hurt himself while throwing a pitch. Today the Lumber medical staff reported Rodas had a torn ulnar collateral ligament and would be absent from the lineup for at least 10 months.
To date this season, Rodas has registered 9 starts, 0-7 won-lost mark, 6.58 ERA, 53.1 IP, 31 strikeouts and 26 walks. Opposing teams have hit .335 against him.
