Wednesday, March 16th, 2033
In a powerful performance that left the fans at The Nutcracker Suite buzzing, St. Paul Grognards first baseman Peter Southern blasted a trio of home runs en route to a 12-6 win over the Normal Nutcrackers.
"Everything was clicking," Southern told the press. "My timing was good and I got pitches I could handle and I didn't miss them."
Southern shined brilliantly in the win, with 3 hits in 4 at-bats, 7 RBIs and 3 runs scored.
"It's not just one guy, it's everybody," Grognards manager John Rodney said. "Peter played great but it takes more than one guy to win a game."
Peter Southern grounded out in the 1st, hit a solo-shot off Steve Henderson in the 4th, walked in the 5th, hit a GRAND SLAM off Chris Sanchez in the 6th and hit a two-run home run off Chris Sanchez in the 8th.
This year Southern is batting .328 with 16 home runs. He has scored 33 runs and driven in 33.
