Season Possibly Over for Andy Kelly
Monday, March 14th, 2033
The doctors have spoken and Andy Kelly of the Normal Nutcrackers didn't like what he heard. The 20-year-old reliever is almost certainly gone for the rest of the year and depending on his progress could miss some of next season as well. Kelly sustained his season-ending injury during the Rosewell Tribbles game yesterday at The Nutcracker Suite. He had to leave the game because he hurt himself while throwing a pitch. Today the Normal medical staff reported Kelly had shoulder inflammation and would be absent from the lineup for at least 7 months.

For the year Kelly has 13 relief appearances and a 1-2 record with no saves. He has logged 23 innings and allowed 25 base hits. Opposing clubs have put up a .291 batting average against him. Kelly has rung up 20 strikeouts, surrendered 5 walks and fashioned a 3.91 ERA.
