KO Snap Hawley's Streak at 24
Thursday, March 10th, 2033
Rockville left fielder Keith Hawley went 0-for-5 today in Rockville's 14-5 triumph over the Long Beach KO, snapping his 24-game hitting streak.

Hawley spoke to BNN after the game and said he "knew the hitting streak would end sooner or later."

"I just would have preferred later," he said with a laugh. "It was fun though."

When Hawley made an out in his last chance at the plate, his teammates congratulated him in the dugout. In the clubhouse after the game, he seemed unbothered by the streak ending.

"There's nothing scientific about it, that's for sure," KO manager Sayyid bin Ragheb said of Hawley's streak. "He had a nice little run. Let him start another one when we finish the series here."

Hawley is presently hitting at a .416 pace with 9 home runs, 32 RBIs and has scored 32 times.
