Simmon Hit String Snapped at 20
Monday, March 7th, 2033
Sedona first baseman Terry Simmon experienced something against the St. Paul Grognards he hadn't experienced a while: a hitless game.
The Grognards pitching corps quieted his hot bat and snapped his streak at 20 games, but his teammates picked up the slack to lead the Sabercats to a 3-1 victory at The Thunderdome.
"Hey, ain't nothin' bad about a losing a 20-game hitting streak," Simmon joked with reporters after the game. "Now you guys will have to find someone else to bother for stories."
This year Simmon has hit at a .372 clip with 22 RBIs, 5 home runs and 29 runs scored.
