Week's Top Player: Rockville's Turner Monday, March 7th, 2033 20-year-old J.P. Turner made a few Rockville headlines during this past week as the rookie right fielder proved he could compete at the plate with his high-school idols. He captured the attention of fans, journalists and Prince Fielder League officials last week and today took home Player of the Week honors for his effort. He cracked 13 hits in 25 at-bats to put up a .520 average. Turner collected 4 home runs, 10 RBIs and scored 13 runs. This season Turner has hit at a .361 clip with 41 RBIs, 12 home runs and 38 runs scored. |
