Sunday, March 6th, 2033
Terry Simmon's consecutive-game hitting streak has now climbed to 20 games. The Sedona first baseman smacked 1 hit against the St. Paul Grognards in today's game at The Thunderdome, but he expressed mixed emotions about the streak after watching the Sabercats drop the game, 10-6.
"I feel good about the streak, but don't feel good when we lose," he told reporters. "I'd love to get a hit as well as a win next time so I can celebrate properly." Terry Simmon grounded out in the 1st, struck out in the 3rd, singled in the 6th, grounded out in the 7th and flied out in the 9th.
This season Simmon has hit at a .378 clip with 22 RBIs, 5 home runs and 29 runs scored.
