Reliever Claims PFL Pitching Award
Tuesday, March 1st, 2033
"The kid had it all working last month," a veteran teammate told reporters. "He keeps up those kind of numbers, we might have to start inviting him out with us after the games."
Aaron Carter put together a very solid month to take home the Prince Fielder League's top pitching honor in February.
The 21-year-old reliever threw like a veteran. In 13 relief appearances he raked in 8 saves and 24 strikeouts in 14 innings as he put together his 3-0 record and 0.64 ERA.
This year Carter has 27 relief appearances with 14 saves, 4-2 season record and a 2.70 ERA. He has hurled 30 innings, given up 20 hits, struck out 36 and walked 8. Opposing clubs have batted .192 against the Barbados reliever.
