Arrendo and Sanchez Fight, Suspended 6 Games
Tuesday, February 22nd, 2033
One player challenged the other with some angry words at the Kings-Nutcrackers game at Epic Park yesterday. There was some pushing and shoving -- then the dugouts emptied. There was a lot of scuffling, but no punches thrown. When order was finally restored and the dust settled, the umpires ejected Lumber's Ramon Arrendo and Normal's Chris Sanchez.
Now both antagonists will get some time off, courtesy of the league commissioner. They were suspended 6 games for inappropriate and aggressive behavior.
Thus far this year Arrendo is hitting .333 with no home runs, 0 RBIs and 3 runs scored.
This year Sanchez has made 20 relief appearances with no saves. In 60.1 innings, he has permitted 74 hits, fanned 62 hitters and recorded 4 wins and 3 losses with a 5.67 ERA.
