Saturday, February 19th, 2033
El Paso Bomberos right fielder Cole Capone had a day to remember at The Back Draft today, ripping apart the Santa Barbara Suenos and sparking the Bomberos to a 29-2 victory.
Capone wrote his name in the record books with a 5-hit barrage, finishing his special day 5-for-6.
"I'm usually a first ball hitter," Capone told BNN reporters in the postgame press conference. "I think pitchers think batters are going to let the first one go by. I never do. I've always found that it's better to pull the trigger early in the count. Pitchers get real nasty when they get ahead of you, so I try to avoid it."
Cole Capone flied out in the 1st, hit a two-run double in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, singled in the 5th, hit a two-run single in the 6th, hit a two-run single in the 7th and walked in the 8th.
This year Capone is hitting .372 with 6 home runs and 22 RBIs in 29 games played. He also boasts an OBP of .424 with 11 walks and 22 runs scored.
