Rosewell's López Shuts Out Storm
Sunday, February 13th, 2033
The Rosewell Tribbles did little to support starter José López against the Wichita Storm, but it turned out he didn't need the help.
The right-hander spun a complete game shutout against the Storm, striking out 13 and surrendering 2 hits. The performance from López allowed Rosewell to escape with the 3-0 win despite an anemic offense.
"Nobody came to me and said 'José, we're gonna need you to win this one for us today,' but I could feel it," López told BNN reporters following the win. "I'm the guy that will step up for you when you need it."
This season López has fanned 76 in 65.1 innings and collected a 6-1 record with a 2.48 ERA.
