Mitchem Nabs CFL Weekly Award Monday, January 31st, 2033 20-year-old Aaron Mitchem made a few Lumber headlines during this past week as the rookie catcher proved he could compete at the plate with his high-school idols. He captured the attention of fans, journalists and Cecil Fielder League officials last week and today took home Player of the Week honors for his effort. He cracked 9 hits in 19 at-bats to put up a .474 average. Mitchem collected 4 home runs, 12 RBIs and scored 8 runs. This year Mitchem has batted at a .384 pace with 33 hits, 10 home runs, 26 RBIs and scored 20 times. |
