Armenta Goes 5-for-5 Against Scottsdale Wednesday, March 17th, 2032 It's not something you read about in the sports pages every day -- a 5-for-5 day. For many, it might come around only once in a career -- and for Manuel Armenta, it came around today. The 18-year-old shortstop scattered hits all over Dream Park to pace the Santa Barbara Suenos to a 5-0 victory over the Scottsdale Scorpions. Scottsdale skipper Ricardo Martínez told reporters in the press room that "Armenta deserves a hat-tip." "He hit some good pitches against us," he said. "In fact, according to our scouting reports, Armenta hit several that he is not supposed to be able to hit." Manuel Armenta singled in the 1st, singled in the 2nd, tripled in the 4th, singled in the 6th and singled in the 8th.
