5-Hit Game for Kirkland Friday, February 27th, 2032 Wichita first baseman Rob Kirkland had a day to remember today, 5-for-6 against the Lumber Kings at Epic Park as the Storm picked up a 16-7 victory. "He was patient up there today," Wichita skipper Wynn Decker told the press after the game. "I like the way he waited for his pitch and wasn't overly aggressive. Kirkland has a tendency to chase bad balls sometimes." Rob Kirkland singled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 4th, struck out in the 6th, hit a solo-shot off Jesús Cruz in the 7th and singled in the 8th.
