Hood Smacks 5 Hits for Sabercats
Thursday, January 29th, 2032
5 hits in a game is a rare thing, but Sedona's Kerry Hood made it happen today against the Stompers. Everything came together at the plate for the 20-year-old third baseman as he collected 5 hits in 5 at-bats -- and led the Sabercats to a 13-10 win at Bonzo's Montreux.
"I'm just out there to try and help the team win," Hood said after the game, "I had some real good at-bats today. I made good, solid contact and luckily no one caught 'em."
Kerry Hood singled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 4th, hit a two-run single in the 6th and hit an RBI triple in the 7th.
This season Hood is batting .348 with 23 hits, 3 home runs, 13 RBIs, 7 walks, .434 OBP and has scored 14 runs. He has played in 17 games.
