Mustangs End Renken's Streak
Monday, May 15th, 2034
Joe Renken of the Seminole Warhawks came up empty at the plate today and went hitless in 4 at-bats for the first time in 21 games. Making matters even worse for the left fielder, Seminole dropped the game to the San Marin Mustangs 5-4.
"It was not a good day today," Renken told the press in postgame comments. "We lost the game and the streak is over."
In 62 games this season Renken is batting .406 with 104 hits and 16 home runs. He has scored 50 runs and driven in 66.
