Armendariz Hits in 20 Straight Games Saturday, May 13th, 2034 Carlos Armendariz continued his streak at River Otters Ballpark today, even as the ballgame did not go his way. The Santa Clara first baseman was 3-for-5 in today's contest and now has hit safely in his last 20 games. The Vampires were not as fortunate, losing 10-6 to the Topeka West Chargers. "Armendariz was hitting everything we threw at him," said Topeka West manager Jack Fannon. "He is a tough out. Fortunately, things went our way in the ballgame today and we came away with a win." Carlos Armendariz flied out in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, flied out in the 5th, singled in the 7th and doubled in the 9th. Armendariz is currently batting .396 with 5 home runs and 32 RBIs. |
