Renken Hits in 20 Straight Games Saturday, May 13th, 2034 Joe Renken continued his streak at Attack Ballpark today, even as the ballgame did not go his way. The Seminole left fielder was 1-for-4 in today's contest and now has hit safely in his last 20 games. The Warhawks were not as fortunate, losing 6-4 to the Pleasantville Panthers. "Renken was hitting everything we threw at him," said Pleasantville manager Bobby Lowenstein. "He is a tough out. Fortunately, things went our way in the ballgame today and we came away with a win." Joe Renken struck out in the 2nd, grounded out in the 4th, grounded out in the 6th and hit a two-run home run off Will Kearns in the 8th. Renken is currently batting .415 with 16 home runs and 65 RBIs. |
