Jaguars End Durant's Streak
Friday, May 5th, 2034
The Carl Albert Titans lost to the Jacksonville State Jaguars 8-6 today at Zebras Ballpark, but perhaps the bigger news was the end of Evan Durant's 24-game hitting streak. The first baseman went 0-for-4 on the day.

"We felt if we could slow down Durant, we would win the game," Jaguars manager Jeromy Hager explained. "They really seemed to feed off his streak, so we tried to put more emphasis on shutting him down."

During the current season Durant is batting at a .341 clip with 14 home runs and 46 RBIs. He has played in 53 games and scored 43 times.
