Sorensen Crushes 3 Homers Against Derby
Friday, April 21st, 2034
Jacksonville State Jaguars first baseman Joe Sorensen had a magnificent game against the Derby Panthers today, rocketing three balls out of Chickenhawks Stadium to help the Jaguars take the 20-13 victory.

"I got some good pitches to hit and I creamed them," he said after the game. "The first was a big, fat fastball and the last two were hanging curves. All three were mistakes."

For the game, Sorensen went 3-for-4 with 5 RBIs and 4 runs scored.

"There's a fine line between hitting home runs and line drives," Jacksonville State manager Jeromy Hager said later. "Seems like Joe found his home run stroke today."

Joe Sorensen flied out in the 1st, was hit by a pitch in the 2nd, hit a solo-shot off Nick Canepa in the 4th, hit a solo-shot off Eric Bledsoe in the 6th, walked in the 7th and hit a three-run home run off Kevin Caldwell in the 8th.

Sorensen has collected 17 hits for the Jaguars this year, 4 of them home runs. He has also netted 12 RBIs and scored 13 runs while batting .321.
