Park Snap Joy's Streak at 20 Saturday, April 15th, 2034 Maybe it really is taboo to talk about a hitting streak before it's over. Hours after speaking to the press about his 20-game hitting streak, Enterprise first baseman Adam Joy went hitless in 3 at-bats today at Swamp Foxes Stadium. The sudden hitting drought came as the Hornets took the 3-2 win over the College Park. "Nope, it's not magic," Joy said in his postgame press conference. "Nobody jinxed me. Streaks don't last forever. I've heard about it every day for weeks now. My roomie told me to get a hit before every game and wished me luck. I just ran out of hits." Joy is hitting .495 so far this season with 19 RBIs and 15 runs scored. He has 53 hits including no home runs, 7 walks and .538 OBP. |
