Lerna's Mathias to Miss Season Thursday, April 13th, 2034 The season is finished for Jerry Mathias of the Lerna Lions. The club announced today that he will forego the rest of the year because of injury. The Lions reliever suffered a damaged elbow ligament while throwing a pitch in a recent game against the Canby Lancers. Team doctors said it would take at least 12-13 months to heal. Checking out his season stats to date, Mathias has 2 saves in 8 relief appearances with a 0-1 record and 9.72 ERA. |
