Tigers Alsobrooks and Mustangs Eastham Suspended for Fight Monday, April 10th, 2034 Jeremy Alsobrooks of the Tioga Central Tigers was not happy with Pete Eastham, and his frustration showed when he went after the Downsview player during yesterday's game at Alleycats Ballpark. Both benches cleared as they rushed to the aid of their teammates. Order was soon restored as Alsobrooks and Eastham were pulled away from each other. They were ejected from the game. Both players were suspended 2 games by the league office as a result of their tussle. "It's something that happens in baseball every once in a while," Alsobrooks commented later. "We get frustrated with another player and sometimes things go too far. We'll both take our suspensions and then come back ready to play. I got no hard feelings." For the season Alsobrooks is currently batting .407 with 2 home runs and 9 RBIs. In 13 games he has reached base at a .467 rate and scored 2 runs to date. Eastham has taken the mound for 8 relief appearances this season, nailing down no saves while notching a 1-0 record with a 6.23 ERA. The Downsview reliever has limited opposing batters to a .343 batting average. |
