Hitting Streak Still Alive for Robles Monday, April 3rd, 2034 Cruz Robles of the Pitman High Panthers tagged 2 hits in today's 12-10 loss to the College Park at Swamp Foxes Stadium to run his hitting streak to 25 straight games. "I realize it's unlikely to have a 25-game streak and not have a couple losses mixed in," he said later. "But it still takes the fun out of it." Cruz Robles singled in the 1st, was hit by a pitch in the 2nd, grounded out in the 4th, hit an RBI single in the 5th, flied out in the 6th and flied out in the 9th. Posting a .368 batting average to date, Robles has 3 home runs and 15 RBIs. |
