Richey Has 20-Game Hitting Streak Saturday, April 1st, 2034 Gabe Richey, center fielder for the Tioga Central Tigers, ran his consecutive-game hitting streak to 20 games with 1 hit in his club's 8-1 victory today over the Santa Clara Vampires at Alleycats Ballpark today. "Not the outcome we wanted," Santa Clara manager Juan Proenza said. "There's never a good time to lose, and it's never fun to be on the wrong end of somebody else's accomplishment." Gabe Richey singled in the 1st, flied out in the 2nd, walked in the 4th, struck out in the 6th and struck out in the 8th. Richey has collected 47 hits for the Tigers this year, 12 of them home runs. He has also netted 34 RBIs and scored 28 runs while batting .465. |
