Downsview's Relief Ace Top Pitcher in March Saturday, April 1st, 2034 Any time a rookie makes a splash on the scene, it's got to be great for his career potential. Just ask Matt Cassidy, who put together a stellar month out of the pen. The Downsview Mustangs closer, 18, kept the opposition off balance all month as he held them to a .143 average and walked away with the Pete Rose League Pitcher of the Month award for March. Cassidy posted a 3-0 mark and a 0.84 ERA in 10 relief appearances. In 10.2 innings, he had 6 saves, 12 strikeouts, and 4 walks. |
