Payano Tags Panthers for 5 Hits Tuesday, March 28th, 2034 It was a big day for Jose Payano and he brought the Santa Clara Vampires along for the ride. Payano led his club to a 24-9 victory over the Pitman High Panthers today at Batfish Ballpark, smoking Pitman High pitching for 5 hits in 6 at-bats. The 14-year-old left fielder later called the victory "sweet." Jose Payano hit an RBI single in the 1st, struck out in the 2nd, hit a GRAND SLAM off Matt Hooven in the 3rd, singled in the 4th, hit a three-run home run off John Bisson in the 6th, walked in the 7th and doubled in the 9th.
