Haggerty Socks it to Hornets, Cracks 5 Hits Monday, March 27th, 2034 It wasn't just another day at the ballpark for Joe Haggerty of the Derby Panthers. Haggerty went on a tear at Oranges Ballpark and cracked hit after hit off Enterprise pitching. When the dust settled on the diamond, the 17-year-old first baseman had a career 5-for-6 day and something he will long remember. "Yeah, it'll be something nice to tell the grandkids, but I don't think I'll tell them we lost," he joked in the BNN postgame interview. Despite Haggerty's personal accolades, the Enterprise Hornets walked off the field with the 11-9 win. Joe Haggerty singled in the 1st, singled in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, singled in the 6th, singled in the 7th and flied out in the 9th.
