Guppy Socks it to Jaguars, Cracks 5 Hits Monday, March 27th, 2034 The Jacksonville State Jaguars might think twice next time about pitching to Charlie Guppy. At Chickenhawks Stadium today, the George Washington Patriots third baseman burned Jacksonville State pitching, going 5-for-5 in a 20-3 George Washington triumph. "When he's on his game," George Washington skipper Frank Robles told reporters, "he can probably stroke a base hit blindfolded." Charlie Guppy singled in the 1st, walked in the 3rd, hit a solo-shot off Mickey Harcourt in the 4th, hit an RBI single in the 5th, singled in the 6th and hit a solo-shot off Paul Robinson in the 9th.
