Griffith on Fire: 5-for-7 for Canby Sunday, March 26th, 2034 Canby second baseman Brian Griffith could do no wrong in today's 28-6 win over the Jaguars as he collected 5 hits. "Things were in his favor in every one of his at-bats," Jaguars skipper Jeromy Hager said to the press corps after the game. "He got hitters' counts." Griffith agreed, saying that getting ahead early in the counts was "the key" to his game. "Once you get ahead, it makes it a lot easier because you get a better pitch to hit," he said. "You know the pitcher has to come in with it. And you're ready." Brian Griffith singled in the 1st, singled in the 2nd, flied out in the 3rd, flied out in the 3rd, singled in the 6th, hit an RBI single in the 7th, walked in the 9th and hit a solo-shot off Kyle Bjork in the 9th.
