Season-Ending Injury for Jeff Heatley Thursday, March 23rd, 2034 The doctors have spoken and Jeff Heatley of the Derby Panthers didn't like what he heard. The 15-year-old closer is almost certainly gone for the rest of the year and depending on his progress could miss some of next season as well. Heatley sustained his season-ending injury during the Grand Island Islanders game yesterday at Managua HS Grounds. He had to leave the game because he hurt himself while throwing a pitch. Today the Derby medical staff reported Heatley had a torn back muscle and would be absent from the lineup for at least 4 months. |
