The slider was working. In an unforgettable performance, the 17-year-old Taylor fanned 15 Mustangs and sparked the Billings West Golden Bears to a 13-1 victory over San Marin. He left Mustangs hitters mumbling and muttering at the plate. And when he needed a strikeout, he got it. "I don't know if there are many times that I've seen him throw better," said Billings West manager Brian Neyman. "His location and command were really something." In addition to collecting 15 strikeouts over 9 innings, Taylor allowed 4 hits and 3 walks in a superlative outing. "I thought I'd make it easy on the guys today," Taylor said with a smile.
