5-Hit Barrage by Holman Wednesday, March 22nd, 2034 It's not something you read about in the sports pages every day -- a 5-for-5 day. For many, it might come around only once in a career -- and for Karl Holman, it came around today. The 17-year-old right fielder scattered hits all over Visigoths Stadium to pace the Downsview Mustangs to a 10-2 victory over the Lerna Lions. Lerna skipper Nick Riddick told reporters in the press room that "Holman deserves a hat-tip." "He hit some good pitches against us," he said. "In fact, according to our scouting reports, Holman hit several that he is not supposed to be able to hit." Karl Holman hit a solo-shot off Ray Lewis in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, doubled in the 5th, hit an RBI single in the 6th and doubled in the 8th.
