Benny Bishop to Miss 8-9 Months Monday, May 23rd, 2033 Playoff hopes of Indians player Benny Bishop have been dealt a blow today after tests revealed the starting pitcher suffered a fractured elbow throwing a pitch in today's game against Grand Island Islanders. Bishop is expected to miss up to 8-9 months, effectively ruling him out of the playoffs. Bishop has made 13 starts so far this year and put up a 5-2 won-lost record with a 2.89 ERA. In 71.2 innings he has allowed 61 hits, walked 21 and struck out 85. |
